Sensei Hawkes is a 5th Dan Instructor and grading examiner and enjoys teaching the benefits of his experience to others " when you take on the responsibility of being a black belt instructor it's about what you give back to Karate rather than what you take. Now others enjoy the many fruits that this martial art has to offer."

Sensei Hawkes

Started training in Shotokan Karate in 1976 in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Since achieving his black belt in his teenage years he has gone on to represented England in International competition for the JKA UK in Holland and in Bracknell, Berks. Last competing in 1999. Competition is a small part of this martial art and the foundations of his tuition is the perfection of ones own character through the rigors of training and the understanding of ones own limitations forged in the practice of Kihon (Basics)
